Studio Slips for DJs

You invested in DJ gear and need to keep it protected. Studio Slips can build custom Covers and Gig Bags that fit your needs. Whether it be a Gig Bag to carry your speakers, or a Slip Cover to keep your booth safe in transport, Studio Slips has the experience to build you a product that will keep your gear protected for years to come.

All of our products are made of water-proof nylon canvas (1000 Denier) on the outside. The inner padding is a polyester fiber-fill which is quilted to a soft yet tough nylon lining. You can choose single (3/8″ thick), double (3/4″ thick), or no padding at all.

We’ve made Slip Covers and Gig Bags to protect gear for Toadmatic, Modern Consoles, Pro-X, Timber Groove, Odyssey, RCF, EV, LD Systems, Meyer Sound, QSC, Turbosound, and D&B Technologies, just to name a few!

The Process

• We have over 15,000 models in our catalog, so start by searching for the Manufacturer of your gear and check to see if we already have the model in our database. If we don’t, you can submit a New Estimate Request with the dimensions of your gear or send them in an email to info@studioslips.com. If you can include a photo of your booth / podium / gear, even better. That will help make sure no little quirks cause problems later.

• Once we receive the measurements we’ll add the model to our database and create a link so you can order your product online or we can build a quote and send it to you via email. If it’s a uniquely shaped model, we can also share a mock-up of the design for your approval.

• If we send you a link to order, you may then choose from our available options, compare pricing, and place your order online. We are happy to help and offer our expertise and any recommendations when choosing your options. It’s always a good idea to check out our Product Options page for pictures and descriptions of our materials and what’s available. For custom orders, we work closely with you to design a protective solution that will best serve your needs.

• Once all is confirmed, your order goes into production. Everything is handmade to order in our shop in Santa Rosa, CA. Our lead time can fluctuate, but we generally have things ready to ship in 2-3 weeks.

• If you are a manufacturer, we offer bulk pricing discounts and custom solutions including specialty branding. Just send us an email and introduce yourself. 

Product Options Specifics

• • TVs/Screens. Do you have a screen on the front of your DJ Booth? We can make a flat pocket on the front of the cover that you can insert a piece of plexiglass or thin plywood to help protect the screen.
  • Zippers. Large covers can be difficult to slide over mobile DJ Booths. We recommend a zipper or two on the back (DJ Side) of large covers  which serves two purposes. First, it makes the cover much easier to put on / take off and second, it allows you to access the DJ side of the booth without taking the cover off. The entire back panel can be unzipped and fold over the top with 2 strategically placed zippers.
  • Extra Handles. We have molded plastic handles that we can sew onto the sides of our covers. They are very helpful for moving the booth when the cover is on. When loading a DJ Booth into a vehicle or getting it up a loading ramp, it’s a lot easier when you have heavy duty handles to grab a hold of!
  • Pockets. We have both padded and non-padded pockets up to 12″ x 18″ in stock, but can make custom pockets of any size for your Cover/Gig Bag. Makes carrying those cables and accessories even easier!
  • Modular Gig Bags. Have a modular podium DJ Table? Just like the video above, we can create a Gig Bag with padded separators and custom pockets that could fit a variety of different set-ups, including columns, stands, table tops and more. Our padded separators can be sewn into our bags or made with Velcro to help create custom-sized compartments to house all your gear in one carry bag solution.

  • Branding. We work with a local embroiderer and screen printer to put your personal logo or branding on your Studio Slips gear. We also source high quality embroidered logo patches that can be sewn onto covers or bags. Just include an image of your logo in your email and let us know what you’re thinking!
